Homes of East Hill

Anita was designed as a luxury
two-bedroom home to fit the needs of today's smaller family units. The home has most
of the activity rooms found in a small mansion, all efficiently arranged in a functional
circulation pattern. There is also a spacious porch off the family room to give an
added dimension to the use of the rear yard. Anita offers the opportunities of a
cozy traditional home or it can be the shelter for a more contemporary style of life.
The simple dignified lines of both the front and rear elevations make Anita an
architectural gem in its East Hill setting. Approximately 2180 Sq. Ft. |

Amelia is the identical interior of
its twin plan Anita other than very subtle ceiling and door changes. Amelia's
individuality is personified by exterior architecture which reflects an entirely different
street side elevation. Although both plans have those spacious rear porches, Amelia
also has a large front enclosed entry court with access from both the dining room and the
second bedroom. This court with its protective screening walls and decorative
wrought iron adds another dimension to the many family and social uses of this luxury
home. Approximately 2180 Sq. Ft. |

Benita has a strongly styled architectural character. The high vaulted street side facade of geometrically sculptured stucco and carefully placed beam outlookers is meant to accentuate a dual gable roof. A dramatic side entry is reached through an impressive colonnade that supports the exposed beams of a long covered porch. Once inside, Benita is nearly the twin of the Barbara plan although the living room has a vaulted ceiling and is slightly different. Though basically a four-bedroom two-bath home, Benita can satisfy a variety of living styles and family sizes. Approximately 2250 Sq. Ft. |

Barbara could be classed as the quiet
twin of the Benita plan because of its exterior architectural styling. The basic
simplicity of the hip roof design appears to make the beige clay tile roof flow gently
around the building structure in a soft protective manner. The entry porch is
centered for a simple direct approach to the functional interior four-bedroom, two-bath
living area. Barbara has slightly more square footage than Benita and has in
addition a spacious rear covered patio porch. Barbara has that flexible floor plan
characteristic that can mold itself to many different family personalities. Approximately 2340 Sq. Ft. |

Carlotta is a large home whose size is
greatly enhanced by strong horizontal lines. Three separate gable roofs offset in an
impressive and pleasing way fit functionally over second floor bedrooms as well as over
the one-story elements of the plan. A large symmetrical entry with a coffer-type
ceiling opens into a two-story stair hall to expose the vaulted living room ceiling and
the beauty of the arches surrounding the formal dining room. Carlotta is an
architectural sculpture of form and shape as well as a home. Approximately 2675 Sq. Ft. |

Carmen's interior is easily recognized
as being the companion plan to Carlotta. Its own distinct personality is developed
with an entirely different hip roof styling. The first floor hip roof wraps around
the two-story bedroom structure to form a spacious covered porch which stretches across
the width of the rear yard facing living and dining room areas. The same roof system
at the other end of the house passes beyond the garage to form shade and shelter outside
the kitchen window. The slightly larger size of the Carmen carries the same interior
living charm as companion Carlotta. Approximately 2700 Sq. Ft. |

Dorina and the companion Dolores plan
are designed to make the most of outdoor living with their family activity areas and a
downstairs bath made directly accessible to the rear yard. Dorina's exciting front porch
and covered planter area lead to a raised entry hall which in turn opens onto a vaulted
ceiling living room. Also seen from the entry are the arched openings of the dining
room and family room hall. They are set either side of the exposed stairwell access
to the second floor bedrooms. This intriguing space shaped interior rivals the
multi-gabled exterior architecture as to which most personifies Dorina's charm. Approximately 2785 Sq. Ft. |

Dolores has an entirely different
street side elevation as compared to the twin Dorina plan. Its hip roof design and
long open inviting front porch expresses a basic change of architectural character.
This style is carried into the entry with a division wall of turned posts and a
differently shaped living room. An initial impression does not reveal that Dolores
is almost identical to the very livable Dorina plan. The Dolores variation of style
offers the creative homeowner still another way to decorate a very functional two-story
home. Approximately 2760 Sq. Ft. |

Elena could be called the "House
of Four Gables". Its exterior design is an exciting repetition of roof
structures offset in various planes and accented by geometric stucco walls and
pilasters. It exemplifies the East Hill architectural theme of form and shape.
The exterior expectation is fulfilled in a dramatically open interior where all activity
areas, upstairs and down, flow visually from one to another in a never ending intrigue of
continuity. Elena is that unusual plan which fits the everyday needs of comfortable
living, yet becomes the social envy of all those who entertain at home. Approximately 2875 Sq. Ft. |

Estela is the twin of the Elena plan
in its basic arrangement of rooms. Both plans are nearly identical with their
luxuries such as the exotic bath in the downstairs master suite and the second floor
balcony library. Unlike the twin, Estela has a three-bedroom second floor plan, a
differently positioned living room, and its open entry with a stair hall bridge takes on a
character distinctly its own. The use of interior space gives Estela a sense of
grandeur and a feeling of size far in excess of its actual area. The exterior
architecture is personal to the plan and gives a custom look to its Mediterranean style. Approximately 3100 Sq. Ft. |

Francisca's entry opens onto the
splendor of gracious living. The wide curved stairway flows smoothly up through the
two-story entry hall to second floor bedrooms and activity area. The stairway weaves
together the many arches and curved walls inviting interest to other areas of the
home. The living room with its high vaulted ceiling and gable glass adjoins an
arch-surrounded dining room. Another arch leads to the study and guest powder room,
yet another to the family room, kitchen and breakfast room. This unique circulation
pattern together with the many rooms of activities invites the opportunity to experience a
dramatically different lifestyle. Approximately 3115 Sq. Ft. |

Felisa is the graceful smaller twin of
the Francisca plan. Felisa has all the charm and luxury of Francisca and is only
smaller in size by the omission of the second floor game room. The house expresses
its own personality with an entirely different exterior treatment. The many gabled
roofs which cover a variety of structural shapes result in the smooth flowing
composition of the East Hill architectural style. Like Francisca, Felisa's
offsetting front and rear house walls together with the porched side entry offer the
opportunity for a creative display of landscaping and separated outdoor activity areas. Approximately 2780 Sq. Ft. |
